(Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes dropped at the open on Friday on fears over high interest rates next year although a cooler-than-expected inflation report for November stymied losses.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 46.0 points, or 0.11%, at the open to 42296.26. The S&P 500 fell 25.1 points, or 0.43%, to 5842, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 182.7 points, or 0.94%, to 19190.042.
