Japan’s revises up Q3 GDP to annualised 1.2% growth

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan’s economy expanded an annualised 1.2% in the July-September period from the previous quarter, a faster pace than the preliminary reading, government data showed on Monday.

The revised gross domestic product (GDP) figure released by the Cabinet Office compared with economists’ median forecast for a 0.9% rise in a Reuters poll and the initial reading.

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP grew 0.3%, compared with a median forecast and the initial estimate of a 0.2% rise.
