DUBLIN (Reuters) – Growth in Ireland’s services sector rose in November to its highest since April last year as new domestic and export orders increased, a survey showed on Wednesday.
The AIB Global S&P Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) climbed to 58.3 in November from 53.8 in October. The index has been above the 50 mark that separates growth from contraction since March 2021.
All four sub-sectors posted faster growth, with financial services the best performer, the survey showed.
New business rose at its fastest pace since March, while export orders improved for the fourth month in a row.
Wages and fuel were cited as key drivers of higher costs, but prices charged rose at the slowest pace since April 2021, the survey showed.
