CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Dallas Cowboys found a matchup they liked as they took a 7-0 lead early against the Panthers: CeeDee Lamb against Carolina Panthers safety Jordan Fuller.

On the Cowboys’ 10-play, 77-yard drive, Lamb tied Fuller in knots twice in the slot, including a 14-yard touchdown grab with 9:01 left in the second quarter. He ran a slot fade and dove to adjust to Cooper Rush‘s pass, which was near the front pylon.

Lamb is playing with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder and he kept the drive alive earlier with a 28-yard catch on third-and-3. He ran away from Fuller on a corner route for an over-the-shoulder grab.

Earlier, Lamb became the first Cowboys player with four 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his first five years in the league. He also passed Jarvis Landry (481) for the second-most receptions in a player’s first five seasons. Former Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has the NFL record with 510.
